\"Kwan<\/a>
\nKwan Yin has beauty above all beauties
\nShe is a Princess – higher than any Queen
\nDepicted in folklore with Fairy likeness
\nHer compassion is boundless and serene<\/p>\n

Her legend is vast and awe inspiring
\nTo the Chinese she originates as Miao Shan
\nShe has been renowned for four thousand years
\nAnd in Bodhisattva – is incarnated as a man<\/p>\n

When Miao Shan died – she refused to go to heaven
\nWhilst on Earth one suffering being still remained
\nShe brought comfort to all children – and the childless
\nPlus hope and the love of God – to those in pain<\/p>\n

As a deity in all Asia she is known as Kwan Yin
\nSometimes her name is spelt in different ways
\nIn India she is Avalokitesvara – and no less famous
\nShe is cherished in any form that she displays<\/p>\n

At times she appears regal as a Buddha
\nAnd in paintings she is often floating in the clouds
\nSometimes she is on a lotus or a dragon
\nAnd dispenses empathy ahead of religious vows<\/p>\n

In truth Kwan Yin is a wondrous legend
\nTo be welcomed everywhere she goes with open heart
\nFor she is a devoted God Faerie to all children
\nAnd to distressed has selfless love that she'll impart<\/p>\n
