Gazeley
Albert
Gazeley is an old China hand - having lived in Hong Kong, China
(and the Far East generally) for the
past 40 years. He was born in London at the outbreak of the
war, his home was bombed out during the London Blitz and he was
evacuated
to Cambridge where he grew up. Albert served an apprenticeship
in Antiques & Works of Art (renovation and reproduction).
He did his National Service in the Royal Air Force.
After his National Service he immigrated to Hong Kong to join
his fiancée where they were married. He now has two grown
children, one living in Cambridge UK and one in Hong Kong. He also
has three wonderful grand children, all living in Hong Kong. He
has always maintained a home and estate in Cambridge England and
has numerous properties in both England and Hong Kong and consequently
travels back and forth often.
Some of his interests include woodcarving, stained glass, pottery,
and collecting. Although he is a retired industrialist, he has
always enjoyed writing poetry as a hobby. He began writing poetry
at school over fifty years ago. He says about poetry: "It
is my diary, my letters to the editor, my journal, my therapist,
and much more."
