When I was a child I had one great obsession: Angels. I
collected various kinds of angels, but most of all I loved to draw
and paint angels. These winged creatures were manifestations of
the ultimate beauty in my little world.
As an adult, I discovered the magical world of fairies. They are
like angels, winged beauties, but they are so much more fun! I want
all my fairies to have their own unique personality. Fairies can
be anything from annoying to angelic. They don´t necessarily
have to be thin, etherial little beings bathing in moonlight. I
try to make their bodies and clothes reflect their mood and personality.
The backgrounds have the same purpose.
As a devoted lover of fairytales, fantasy and the super-natural,
I find fairies to be the perfect theme for my paintings!
