“This is why I keep telling anyone younger than me, don’t imagine you’ll have it forever.
“Use it while you’ve got it because it’ll go, it’s sliding away like water down a plughole.”
It was interesting to read a BBC report about waving flowers however If only the scientists who think they made the discovery that flowers wave while studying common wildflowers known as sea campion (Silene maritima) on the Welsh coast understood they were observing energies on the threshold of the Fairyworld.
They are correct about the waving but it is for reasons they would not understand. There among the flowers will be the fairies, these are the dancing partners that cause the waving. There are but a few humans that see let alone feel this connection of energy to dance into light.
John Warren the scientist from the University of Aberystwyth who made the observation should recall that he was at his daughter’s birthday party and in a hallowed Celtic area. The energies of children would connect to the Earth and the immediate surroundings making a perfect place for the connection to Faery, the excitement would stimulate the surrounding area of natures insects, nectar production, scents and attraction for pollination and seeding.
The 2009 Faeryland calendar is now available exclusively from Barnes and Noble.
The mysterious world of faeries has captivated artists and writers for centuries. This enchanting calendar brings together twelve stunning interpretations of Faeryland by contemporary artists such as Myrea Pettit, Jessica Galbreth, Josephine Wall, Suzanne Gyseman and Stephanie Pui-Mun Law.
I just thought that you would appreciate knowing that the little girl who sits on top of the Fairy Soap bar is actually my Great Grandmother. She grew up in NYC and moved her family to West Haven, CT in the early 1920’s. Her older brother brought her to an artists house every Saturday for 2 months, to paint the portrait which you see today. With the money she received from the advert, she was able to feed her entire family for over 3 months. I’ve heard people compare her to Shirley Temple - because of her cute curls.
THANKS!
Myrea Pettit’s Dancing into Light image graces the cover of Devon St Claire’s latest book to be published May 2008. She is delighted to feature this book here on her website.”Who would believe that the main character of Devon St. Claire’s Memoir of THE HOUSE would inspire so many readers yearning for hope and for better lives? IT DOES. The big-hearted HOUSE tells ITS history for forty year and ITS great reward for never giving up. Hundreds write that they have gained the courage to leave the past in the dust and head for triumphant futures. The most recent reader to praise the power of the story pleads,”Does The Inner Room have other novels like this one?” The answer is, “Yes.”
Shadow Women, Emerging into Light grows out of a year’s correspondence via the internet between loyal readers of Memoir and the author. Their experiences, the captivating changes they are empowered to design are woven together. Truth can be rewarding reading. This is a true story of, by, and for men and women.”
Recently returned from the Ireland Show in USA to his studio in Dorset and the Gallery of Secrets, owned by Peter Stone Jewellery, the producer of magnificent sterling silver and gold faerie Jewellery and Courtney Davis, world famous Celtic artist Courtney Davis and author of over 50 books on the subject published over the last thirty years, is considered the greatest living authority on Celtic Art in modern times. He speaks enthusiastically about the ever increasing demand for his work, surprised at the prices some of his originals previously held in private collections are fetching now at auction, it is evident that the upsurge of interest by over 38 million Americans with Irish ancestry searching for their Celtic roots and the folklore that surrounds their origins of their families is pushing the demand for Courtney’s work as highly desirable and into important collections throughout the USA. ” I have so much to do and just not enough time ” is how Courtney summed it up , clearly a man whose original work is in greater demand than ever. I asked him about the new licensing and manufacturing deals that I had heard about with a major fashion house and airline but it seems for the moment he was not ready to divulge too much information. It seems we are going to see a lot more of Courtney’s work in the Celtic boom ahead.
