Reward -Find Seven Fairies in a Boat

Posted: Friday, April 6th, 2012

Thieves stole a Dehua porcelain sculpture, with a cream white glaze, of seven fairies in a boat, which is 30cm (11.8ins) in both height and length from Durham University Oriental Museum in a night raid.  Durham Police are looking for three men . The  item is from the Qing Dynasty, the last imperial dynasty in China,  from 1644 to 1911. They also took a  large green jade bowl, dating from 1769, part of the collection of Sir Charles Hardinge, a British collector of jades and hardstones. A Chinese poem is written inside. The estimated value of both pieces was £1.8m.

If you should be offered either of these pieces which are likely to have been stolen to order for a foreign collector please contact Durham police or Fairiesworld or their collaborators worldwide . A substantial reward is offered for the safe return of these items

Witches by Silke Schloesser

My dear collectors and friends,
It is 2012 and my 20th anniversary since I have been creating art dolls and figures as a professional artist and designer.
To celebrate this event, I thought it might interest you to see some of my works. This first available edition of hardcover picture books measures 21cm( 8,5″) x 28cm ( 11″)
I´ll start here with “Witches”

In this book you´ll find full size pictures which show more than 50 handmade figures, characters and dolls, miniatures in 1/12th scale as well as bigger figures.
The last page has credits with information and addresses from artist friends who have made some of the accessories and buildings I have used in the photos.
Printed in Germany, that´s why I had to calculate a fixed price in Euro. Price in US$ may change daily due to the exchange rate. Now available at my online shop www.etsy.com/shop/xmasliesl
fairy best,
yours Silke
