The premiere of Peerifool 28 March in Exeter UK. The film is a fabulous feminist tale collected in the nineteenth century up in the wild Orkney Islands. One of our young actresses declared it as “Total Girl Power.” It will make you jump in places. It’s scary and funny and poignant and wise all at once. Please join us for a wonderful celebration of everyone’s hard work. This could be the first time EVER in the history of cinema that Scottish porridge fairies have been portrayed on the big screen.
Our fabulous, darling, talented volunteers include an Oscar winner and a BAFTA winner working alongside all the kids and mums and dads and grandparents harnessing the collective creativity of a Dartmoor village. The warmth and generosity is utterly heart warming. So many people care about what we are doing here in the Chagford Filmmaking Group. Thank you to all of you who took part in the adventure.
I learnt recently that only 1% of children’s television is home grown. We believe our children need to watch material which is culturally relevant. The rich indigenous culture of the British Isles is far too important to be left to commercial concerns alone. And PORRIDGE fairies don’t exist anywhere else in the world as far as I know, so this is truly special. Please share the fun by forwarding the attached flyer to all your friends.
Fairy sparkles and goblin giggles to all of you.

“We are happy to hear somebody noticed our “romance”..:) It’s a really simple story, we are both open for new things, and we never scared to change on our life.
….and we are both crazy…:). We started to exchange a few messages only 6-7weeks ago? on the enchanteddates.com website. We were there from different reasons. He was looking for the real one, I (Hajnal) just wanted to try something new, a way to find somebody, i didn’t hope any luck…. At the first time I (Hajnal) thought He (Ben) is too young, but after few days We both realised we were born for each other. We are both believe in destiny.
So actually in the first week we started to chat and than speak in our all free time on the skype.
For hours….there wasn’t left any secret, we were really honest . We knew it’s going to be something special.
Finally we spent a wonderful week together in Budapest, and we already know it wasn’t only a dream. We both fell in love before the first meet, and it’s getting stronger. I’ll travel to Switzerland on next week as well, and we are ready for our feature….”

There among the quoted lines of Alfred Lord Tennyson and Keats three American contemporary poets have been recognized for the passion of their inspiring words and included in The Faeryland Calendar 2011 that will go on sale in June this year in USA and Canada exclusively available from Barnes and Noble.
January
Fairy of the winter day
when you fly, fly away
Go you to some invisible realm
where icicles won’t melt
nor dreams foretell
secrets of the fairy
hidden in flight.
‘Fairy of the Winter Day’, S. K. Lindeman
—-
February
Butterflies dancing in midnight, mist apple rain
Unveiled to each sparkling dew, lovers smile again…
Sprites merrily seeking shining heart
Her beauty so youthful, with azure lighted curls, soft shimmery worlds
She fills the halls of greatest of storytellers
Painted, etched in all eternal sight, each curled azure opaque light.
‘Almonds Light’, Deborah Shepard

August
Soon did she lift a lum’nous wing
As fairy tune danced on,
A gentle breeze enveloped her,
She shimmered, then was gone.
Bluer than the bonnets fair
That in the springtime bloom,
Bluer than the berries round,
Away the fairy’s gloom.
‘Broken Wing’, Dorothea Barth
