Stathis Karabateas

Greek Version Greek

Stathis KarabateasStathis Karabateas lives on Milos, a small island in the Aegean sea.

His work has been featured in “Space Jam”, “The Magic Sword” and for Warner Brothers feature animation, “Rugrats Go Wild”

"As long as I can remember I was always in love with the world of the fantastic. Fantasy is not a lie, it is a language, the way that the child in us has, in order to communicate and play, a way to uncover its hidden truths.

My work is based around mythology, spirituality and anything that would stimulate the sense of wonder of this little magician.

I believe that to be able to create worlds on a piece of paper is a gift from the spirit, something to be grateful for."
Stathis
April 2005

Stathis Karabateas will appear in the new book "500 Faery Motifs"

SIRANA a fairy of the night. Copyright© 2005 Stathis Karabateas TARADELA lives near the rivers where she loves to dance, Copyright© 2005 Stathis Karabateas

SIRANA is a fairy of the night. She speaks the secret language of the stars and brings their messages to the people that need to listen to them through lucid dreams and visions. She whispers in our ears in the twilight of our consciousness, just before we fall asleep "We are made of stars and to the stars we will return someday."

TARADELA lives near the rivers where she loves to dance. With her magical moves she helps people to dispel their fears form their hearts, to feel safe and secure again in the hands of mother earth. If you listen carefully when you are near a river you might hear her song that blends beautifully with the rustling sound of the waters.
