Stathis Karabateas lives on Milos, a small island in the Aegean sea.

His work has been featured in “Space Jam”, “The Magic Sword” and for Warner Brothers feature animation, “Rugrats Go Wild”

"As long as I can remember I was always in love with the world of the fantastic. Fantasy is not a lie, it is a language, the way that the child in us has, in order to communicate and play, a way to uncover its hidden truths.

My work is based around mythology, spirituality and anything that would stimulate the sense of wonder of this little magician.

I believe that to be able to create worlds on a piece of paper is a gift from the spirit, something to be grateful for."
