The ultimate of challenges
to produce an image 'In the style of' Claude Monet. Having visited
and stayed in Giverny to study Monets
house and garden, a shrine to great artist and a privilege to
those that have been able to visit, and a must to those that
haven't .
The impressionist style of painting is characterized chiefly
by concentration on the general impression produced by a scene
or object and the use of unmixed primary colors and small strokes
to simulate actual reflected light.
I could not but be in awe by Monets skill and understanding
of light, of reflections and unique composition in producing
my own interpretation, and learned so much by painting my image
'in the style of'.
