Waterstones
Bookshop Signing, Northamptonshire March 2004
People queued at the Waterstones bookshop to buy signed copies
of Northamptonshire author David Riché's book The
Art of Faery, which is now in its third reprint.
Mr Riché has lived in Northampton for 25 years and,
for 12 of them, worked as managing director at his own electronics
company in Brackmills. Before then he had another career,
in London, as a top hair stylist for stage and screen stars
as well as royalty.
Since retiring in the 1990's he has spent his time developing
websites such as www.fairiesworld.com which draw together
some of the best pieces of fairy artwork from a variety of
artists.
He said " I never expected to be an author, but that's
life. It is full of amazing surprises"
He is pictured signing a book for Northampton student Lyndsey
Smith
The Art of Faery features a range
of illustrations including work by Northamptonshire artist
Myrea Pettit.
