Don’t be Swayed by The Corpse - S.K.Lindeman©2011 NY USA
Don’t be swayed by the corpse,
They whispered in my ear,
Light erodes darkness,
Though death be ever near,
Ferocious appetite abates,
The voice no longer sings,
Though cowl and scowl
The cross usurps,
And for thee the bell’s toll rings,
Listen to the voices,
The hammer of the bees,
Humming with the birthing birds
Whose holy wing spans free.
