Dandelion Faeries - Tracy R.Cardinet2010©Cal USA
She held some faeries in her hands
So fuzzy-soft and full of light
Bright rays upon those glistening strands
The moment was both gay and quiet
.
It lingered there, ‘tween fingers there
A shimmering orb of wonder
Each tiny clump of silken hair
Starbusts of magic plunder
.
In fascination, made a wish
Knowing faerie dreams come true
In anticipation, blew a kiss
Laughed with delight as faeries flew
.
Off they went, each on its own
Faeries, scattered to the winds
The child then turned and ran back home
To tell Grandma ’bout her faerie friends
