Gaia - Tracy R.Cardinet2013©Cal USA

Nature’s woodwinds fine-tuned

Capture the rhythm of the day

The wind races, embracing

Tender buds that cling, awaiting spring

.

Trees stretch and yawn

All bareness, gone

They, and the lawn

Now green

.

Song so sweet, yet incomplete

‘Til tulips pucker up and kiss

A springtime promise

Wrapped in bliss

.

Jonquils pen their poetry

Sunny, golden-bright

Mellow, yellow symmetry

Green meadows to delight

.

Winter was, and is no more

With Gaia in full swing

Snow is gone and, like before

All at once, it’s spring

.

Little rhyme and less reason, ‘cept that I love Spring and I love you
