A fairy reached out to touch a star,
That looked so near, but was so far
The harder she tried to reach the glow
The further away it seemed to go.

The little fairy tried all day,
She wanted the star,she wanted to play,
It wasn't to be, for suddenly,
Stretching out she fell, you see
Alas, into eternity.
