Crocuses popping, lilacs loom - S.K.Lindeman©2011 NY USA

March 29th, 2011
Crocuses popping, lilacs loom,
I think I fathom spring,
one day soon,
in an afternoon,
the nightingale
shall sing.

Flower of the Bleeding Heart - Dorothea Barth 2010© Vallejo CA USA

February 13th, 2011

Dear Myrea, I haven’t written much lately due to my work schedule in So. San Francisco and various other stressors. But your wonderful rendering of the Dicentra flower inspired a poem, which I’ve printed below.  I hope this find you well. Happy St. Valentine’s Day,
Dorothea Barth

Flower of the Bleeding Heart
by Dorothea Barth 2011

Where feathered Pippin sleeps below
With St. Francis you stood guard
Near roses, plums, and redwoods
Dicentra of the bleeding heart

Your petals had all vanished
When Valentine arrived
What joy to see, by artful strokes
Your symmetry revived

Delicate Dicentra
You bleed and still you glow
The pain and rapture captured
A dance all lovers know

An Angel Alights - S.K.Lindeman©2011 NY USA

January 31st, 2011

An angel alights
Though a child cries
For mercy’s inherent
In the blossoming skies.

Enchanted Pond - 2010©Deborah Shepard Yelm USA

November 7th, 2010

All is quite in the fairy’s pond , each starlight ballerina in plight
Nights fully beauty seen at night
I shall create sculptural lights
Platinum designs just to the right

Hush little one away human child
Crafted in the middle of the forest mystical creatures dancing
Illuminate while each one is enchanted, piano keys play
Misty quite soft accents trail in each garden of spectacular auras

Flawless porcelain tranquil beaches in hemlock rain wash appears
Glittering waterfalls with roses blossoms is where we may be
Delicate ink blots of hummingbird teas
Floating in gossamer wings natures living lights show

Whispering Angelfairy - 2010©Deborah Shepard Yelm USA

November 7th, 2010

I shall encumber the delivery of angels light
Gardens will hear in hearts all through each night
Celeste cellos are clear in each silvery star there
Fragrant ribbon roses, are in gardens shining forever in each square

I am the starlight glimmer of unraveled dreams
The soft touch of colors and doubts
Secrets that soul mates exchanged, tis messenger of time
The enchantment letter, rainbows of mystery

Journey with me through the tunnel of light and love
The angelic elevator opens, filled with Gods eternal love
Cherubs will ride with each step you take
I will hold the spirit of time with each twilight star you make.

The Encounter - Dorothea Barth 2010© Vallejo CA USA

November 4th, 2010

By circumstance or happenstance
By vigilance or fear
With coffers packed in haste I ride
And at the inn appear

Where science and philosophy
Thrive in convergent ways
Where pines and palms commingle
And Steinway itself plays

Love songs for the departed
And those who still believe
No ordinary night this is
It is All Hallows’ Eve

Upward bops the polished lift
Old brass and marbled floor
With stops and starts delivers me
To hallway number four

I stalk the silent corridors
Unsure of what I seek
Till laughter draws me to the child
With mutton sleeve and apple cheek

Perhaps this night delights her
When elves and goblins dance
And spirits are awakened
A playmate please, perchance?

Her eyes grow wide, her laughter stills
She peeks through sausage curl
Is this the child of 1901
Ill-fated little girl?

Extinguished in the midday blaze
A carefree life cut short
A hopeful soul still wandering
Which death could not abort

Or might she be a traveler
Alighting at this post
And viewing me in gliding robes
Is sure she’s seen a ghost?

Faeries, Forest and Firelight - Matthew Brackley©2010 Wiltshire UK

November 1st, 2010

The coming of the night
Soft glow of gossamer wings
Dark shades of green
Of Faeries, forest and firelight

The dance at the end of twilight
Amongst the trees
Of Faerie song
Of forest and firelight

Golden flashes in the night
Of blue
Green and red
Amongst the trees
Of Faeries, forest and firelight

Faeries delight
Of embers
Soft and red
As they danced
In forest and firelight

Glitter bright
Amongst the trees
Of moonbeams
Silver star fire
Of Faeries and firelight

Whispering trees looked upon
In shades of green
Faeries   dance
In firelight
Of magical things seen
Magical colors shone

The coming of the dawn
Pink promise
Soft embers and firelight
Faded away
Faeries flew
and began another day

Forest Faeries - Matthew Brackley©2010 Wiltshire UK

November 1st, 2010

Deep in forests of richest green
Faeries looked after trees
Seeds and nuts were collected
broken branches repaired
Such Forest Faeries were rarely seen

For trees have magic
Faeries too
In green clouds of forest leaf
They took on every hue

As seasons changed
The Faerie colours changed too
For trees loved Faeries
And Faeries loved trees

The gentle swaying of branches
In a wind so light
In a land of summer bright
Deepest green
Tempered with golden sun
You cannot see
Where Faeries have been

When a branch breaks on a tree
Sit quietly
For a Faerie will come
And set it right

When night falls
In a Heartstone forest
Dozens of tiny lights
Begin their dance

Throughout the Magic Trees
At night
Faeries fly
If you listen carefully
If the wind is just right
You can hear Faerie song

Auras Fairy Love - 2010©Deborah Shepard Yelm USA

October 18th, 2010

When I sit amidst  the Fairys  beach
I think of you beside me , holding me within reach
Watching rippling of sands shores soft
Each of our spirits  silhouette loft

Pounding hard the natures turf
Warmth goodness I laugh, unforgettable light
When I close my eyes, I feel you cuddle near, each plight
Which road to take?

Listening to your voice
Remembering each lovers novice
Whispers are greater to each vesper sound
My darling come hear neath’ each sprites vesper

I ask you for your love
You gave me your soul, emulating above
Close your eyes, magic

A fairy ring
rings the world,
the world encircled,
the word unfolds,
Red mushrooms bloom

Rings the world,

Red mushrooms hover
Over hearings’ demise,

Lifted by Love - S.K.Lindeman©2010 NY USA

October 11th, 2010

The stars and the angels
Still, calling tonight
Their light cascading
Across the breath
Of the night,

Exhaling existence
Denial denied
Flame ever flickers
When blown
Across sky,

Drops of desire
Diffused by the sun
Softer ascension
When lifted
By love.

SPRIG - Gail Lawson White©2010 Cal USA

September 23rd, 2010

She came upon a sprig of holly,
A mysterious flight of fancy
Or could have been imagination’s folly
That set my mind a dancing.

Alone, alone at wooded edge
Not another soul in sight
When there it fell upon my head
A flake of snow to my delight.

But no, no, how could this be?
Twas not a cloud up in the sky,
For beyond the wood sun could I see
When came a sudden flurry from on high.

Looking up into the trees,
Surely  twas a bird or playful squirrel,
But no,  twas still as stillness could be
That set my mind a whirl.

Then there came a holly sprig
When  twas not a holly bush in sight,
Followed by a rush of pine needles so big
Knocked me down with all its might.

Then pelleted with a branch of fir,
Twigs of juniper and spruce
Until my vision  twas just a blur
Obscured by all the debris that had come loose.

For there among the brambles and bush
What I saw I swear  twas true
Entangled in imagination’s rush
A tiny creature with wings flew.

A bit of laughter and a holly sprig,
Her wings of red and green,
Dressed in a snowsuit upon a twig
As she danced upon a daydream.

She seemed friendly enough at first,
Until by a tiny snowball I  twas struck
And into a snowball fight  twas I coerced
By the impish little puck.

A battle I knew I could not win,
Graciously in defeat I bowed.
She curtsied as a little lady and then
Flew off disappearing in the pine tree’s bough.
