Sunlight in the meadow

Fairies in the field

Verdant shadows bed low

‘Neath garden’s hearty yield

.

Blithely, butters flutter

Whispers on the wind

Flowers softly mutter

“Welcome back, my friend!”

.

Tulips dot the landscape

Kissing daffodils

Winter made its escape

High up in the hills

.

Petals on the tree tops

Lacy and refined

Subject to the whims of

March and its design

.

April may be coming

Sooner than you think

Hummers will be humming

Drinking from the pink

.

Sunlight in the meadow

Fairies in the field

Magic, ‘cause God said so

Heavenly, His yield
