Happy St Patrick’s Day from the Fairies and Leprechaun

The premiere of Peerifool 28 March in Exeter UK. The film is a fabulous feminist tale collected in the nineteenth century up in the wild Orkney Islands. One of our young actresses declared it as “Total Girl Power.” It will make you jump in places. It’s scary and funny and poignant and wise all at once. Please join us for a wonderful celebration of everyone’s hard work. This could be the first time EVER in the history of cinema that Scottish porridge fairies have been portrayed on the big screen.
Our fabulous, darling, talented volunteers include an Oscar winner and a BAFTA winner working alongside all the kids and mums and dads and grandparents harnessing the collective creativity of a Dartmoor village. The warmth and generosity is utterly heart warming. So many people care about what we are doing here in the Chagford Filmmaking Group. Thank you to all of you who took part in the adventure.
I learnt recently that only 1% of children’s television is home grown. We believe our children need to watch material which is culturally relevant. The rich indigenous culture of the British Isles is far too important to be left to commercial concerns alone. And PORRIDGE fairies don’t exist anywhere else in the world as far as I know, so this is truly special. Please share the fun by forwarding the attached flyer to all your friends.
Fairy sparkles and goblin giggles to all of you.
Love Elizabeth-Jane xxxx
