Secret Energies of the Innerself

Posted: Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Mystical, Magical and the Esoteric at ‘The Gallery of Secrets’ in Bridport Dorset UK. Art with deep and valued meaning that will help transform the Mind, Body and Spirit and the Ether. Discover and understand your innerself with Peter Stone, Courtney Davis and others whose power of imagination unleash your hidden energies

Kwan Yin by Courtney Davis
Kwan Yin has beauty above all beauties
She is a Princess – higher than any Queen
Depicted in folklore with Fairy likeness
Her compassion is boundless and serene

Her legend is vast and awe inspiring
To the Chinese she originates as Miao Shan
She has been renowned for four thousand years
And in Bodhisattva – is incarnated as a man

When Miao Shan died – she refused to go to heaven
Whilst on Earth one suffering being still remained
She brought comfort to all children – and the childless
Plus hope and the love of God – to those in pain

As a deity in all Asia she is known as Kwan Yin
Sometimes her name is spelt in different ways
In India she is Avalokitesvara – and no less famous
She is cherished in any form that she displays

At times she appears regal as a Buddha
And in paintings she is often floating in the clouds
Sometimes she is on a lotus or a dragon
And dispenses empathy ahead of religious vows

In truth Kwan Yin is a wondrous legend
To be welcomed everywhere she goes with open heart
For she is a devoted God Faerie to all children
And to distressed has selfless love that she'll impart

One of Scotlands best loved landmarks a paradise for over twenty thousand hill walkers every year the famed “Fairy Hill, Schiehallion” a 3553 foot peak of dramatic beauty is about to be denigrated in a weave of 140 miles of wire and 60 foot supporting pylons.

Please make your protest known to them in supporting and protecting the beauty of Scotlands most famous Fairy hill and gaining a reprieve for the Fairies .

Owned by the John Muir trust since 1999 Nigel Hawkins, the trust’s director, said: “This monstrous development could end up sweeping across views to and from the fairy mountain, one of Scotland’s best-loved landmarks. If allowed to go ahead it will deflower Schiehallion, degrade Scotland’s image abroad and do untold damage to the tourist industry.

Fairies descend upon London

Posted: Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

You may need your glasses to see them but fairies have infested the Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London. Word has it they plan to stay until January 27th 2008

An army of miniature fairies ‘Little Savages’ created by artist Tessa Farmer with help by the scientists of the museums Entomology Department shows a group of fairies, created with plant roots and insect wings, staging a fierce attack on a fox, and there are also drawings showing Farmer's experience of working in the scientific laboratories, studying the parasitic wasp, which habitually invades and devours other creatures.

This art installation is a must see for art lovers and fairy enthusiasts and provides a refreshing illustration for students education.
