Was she real? - Pauline Nind2009©UK

December 31st, 2009

I woke up one morning, just before dawn,
The sun was beginning to rise
As I turned my head on my pillow
I could'nt believe my eyes.

For there at the bottom of my bed
Was a fairy brushing her hair
It shone like silver in the morning light
The fragrance of her filled the air.

As she finished she fluttered gossamer wings
She was no more than four inches high,
Flying across to my window sill
She paused, and looked out at the sky.

She turned to me and blew a kiss
I touched my cheek to feel,
Then in a moment she was gone
Did I dream it, or could she be real.

A fairy reached out to touch a star - Pauline Nind2009©UK

December 31st, 2009

A fairy reached out to touch a star,
That looked so near, but was so far
The harder she tried to reach the glow
The further away it seemed to go.

The little fairy tried all day,
She wanted the star, she wanted to play,
It wasn't to be, for suddenly,
Stretching out she fell, you see
Alas, into eternity.

Fairys Love - 2009©Deborah Shepard Yelm USA

December 22nd, 2009

Journey far beneath the waters edge, discover the kaleidoscope of magic wonders
My beautiful cream coral reefs soul filled with eternal love
Embrace my kiss within our stain-glass montage
I am your dream, gems of the souls sea

Swirling opaque dolphins love, I seek thee
Frosted stylized waves of ecstasy, ’tis me
We are suspend in time , hanging in the chamber walls
Kiss my lips as we will sparkle the heaven new cascading rain

Treasure of mine , I found a love so sweet
Flow with me to the porcelain angels light
Heirloom time shall part the moonlight doors
My holiday magic

Your colors of twilight render the bows
Peace wraps in your inner quilt of forever love
Among the priceless gifts I have to gibe to you
This holiday season is my keepsake , my Amethyst Faery

Silken Wings - 2009©Deborah Shepard Yelm USA

November 15th, 2009

Amongst the memory in loving fairy’s kiss
Immeasurable wings silent through moon trees
Poignant carefree feathered hop in angels bending plumage
Loving him forever , my angel flies free

Lighted vessel traveled each twilight mist his wings
Love in equable to each concerto sang by azure trees
The soft lips pressed by his presence
Shelter again my heart shall carry, her silken wings

Espied lasting the wings embraced to mine
Soft elated tears shed from my eyes to all some where in time
Beautiful bubbles restored in valance blueberry skies
Sweet sprites dream

Kisses of Love - s.k. lindeman2009©NY USA

November 1st, 2009

May the breeze of the summer
blow kisses of love,
To impregnate the winter
with a faery’s song,
So darkness and shadows
transport not to gloom,
But only to wrestle
till true light illumes.

The Birth of a Fairy - S.K.Lindeman©2009 NY USA

The birth of a fairy,
though a flower may die,
brings yellow and crimson
and gold to the sky,
angels blush lavender,
lilac and rose,
Apollo’s blood child
wavers and blows,
across dancing lilies
of valley and Nile,
where laughter is light
and tears can’t disguise,
swirling realm of the fay,
under pale, cobalt skies,
though silver be stolen
the child of fay hides,
amongst the leaves
of windblown dreams,
a feathery chariot drawn
over cordoned seas,
to visions of Venus,
so pure and subdued,
her flame imbued face
reflects only you,
while dawn’s liquid fingers
caress the day,
dew’s dripping veil revealing
the birth of the fay.

The Butterfly Ball - Jo Riche2009©Northampton UK

June 12th, 2009

Come to the Butterfly ball,
And dance in the moonlit hall,
Under the trees,
With the birds and the bees,
With the fairies for you to enthral.

They'll cast down their light from the skies,
It will sparkle and dazzle your eyes,
You'll see them all there,
Afloat in the air,
With their magic that none can deny.

Sit in the magic light circle,
Upon soft petals of purple,
Twirl in the breeze,
Drink honeydew mead,
Upon the back of a turtle.

The Pixies and elves will be there,
They'll run round your toes without care,
They'll sing and they'll dance,
In a midsummer's trance,
And each will have mischief to share.

So come to the butterfly ball,
Just follow the great waterfall,
By the rainbows end,
Were the silver brook bends,
Where the nightingale sings out her call.

The Fairy that could not fly. - Joannda Riche2009©Northampton UK

June 12th, 2009

I lost my wings one sad bleak day,
The prince bull frog pulled them away,
I wept a million crystal tears,
And sat alone for many years.

My Fairy friends would flit by,
And shake their heads and gently sign,
And there amongst the wooded ground,
My heart did break, and did not pound.

I often looked towards the stars,
And wished that I could fly that far,
My only settler below the trees,
They offered me their fallen leaves.

Old Jack Frost would often nip me,
Upon the ground undoable to flee,
The woodland creatures scuttled by,
And asked me "why I could not fly?"

The prince bull frog passed by one day,
"why had he taken my wings away?"
He looked at me with a scornful frown,
He'd given them to another in exchange for a crown.

Now the woodland creatures and trees so tall,
Were very wise and they did call,
They told me I should not despair,
For they knew of a magic that was everywhere.

And so with their guidance, I began to learn,
The sacred magic with in the fern,
And seedlings I did sow and tender,
Until they grew out, flowers in splendour.

The prince bull frog caught sight one day,
of all the flowers and he did say,
"for all the flowers I will give,
This golden crown upon my head"

I turned to him with an arrogant eye,
"you leave the flowers, from here be gone,
You took my wings so long ago,
You are no friend, you are my foe"

The prince bull frog was angered by this,
For his golden crown, who could resist,
And he left that day and went on his way,
And sat all alone in his pond.

The creatures and trees were all very pleased,
That I had not plucked the flowers.
They gathered me in and begun to spin,
The most beautiful pair of wings.

Form petals and leaves, and silk golden thread,
A magnificent crown they made for my head.
And there on the ground, my heart it did pound,
And I flew away with the wind.

Now the prince bull frog, sat in his pond and got old,
And when he was dead the crown from his head,
Sank deep beneath the lily fold.
And there it remained not to be seen,
While the flowers bloomed gold and gleamed.

Party Dress - 2009 ©Joannda Riche Northampton UK

June 3rd, 2009

My Friend said to me,
"come to my party"
So I got out my dress,
With ribbons and frills,
And skipped to the garden,
My heart full of thrill.

When I got there,
With my friends I did share,
The singing and dancing,
Without any care.

My dress floated gently,
Upon the light breeze,
I twirled in the sunlight,
And danced round the trees.

I had a great time in the afternoon sun,
I laughed and I played,
And had lots of fun.
and after it all
My dress went away,
Stored in the wardrobe
for the next special day.

Fairy Garden - 2009©Joannda Riche Northampton UK

June 3rd, 2009

Come to the garden,
Sit with your friends,
Chase all the fairies,
To the rainbows end.

Put on your dresses,
The Party is here,
Time to be happy,
With Laughter and cheer.

Drink crystal bubble,
From lemonade fountains
With pink fairy cakes,
And marshmallow mountains.

The birds from the trees,
They all will join in,
And sing their songs loudly,
For you to hear ring.

So come to the garden,
Come and have fun,
Dance and be silly,
Under the sun.

Mortal to Mermaid - Dorothea Barth 2009© Vallejo CA USA

June 1st, 2009

Well known ‘s the tale of mermaid fair
Who rose to leave the sea
For love or curious yearning
Chose life’s complexity

O Mermaid are you satisfied?
Did love endure, suffice?
Or do you lament this journey,
This tossing of the dice?

Another tale must still be told
Although it may yet fail
Of mortal woman’s wond’ring wish:
Swap feet for mermaid’s tail

O Mermaid what’s it like to swim
B’neath surface of the sea?
With dolphins for companions
Alluring, fresh, and free?

At times kind friends have mentioned
It’s better to pretend
Just try the look, just wear the tail
Your fantasies will mend

O Mermaid, here’s my quandary:
Pretend will not permit
I wasn’t born with mermaid’s grace
Such slipper doesn’t fit!

Fluidity is often lost
In mortal woman’s face
Ambition steals serenity
Life’s sorrows tax our grace

O Mermaid, would you guide me then?
Will you take the helm?
Reveal those worlds I cannot see
In your enchanted realm

I walk along the water’s edge
Not far from where they thrive
And ponder such adventure that
Might re-invent my life

O Mermaid share your wisdom now
Where lies my remedy?
The mortal’s world midst trees and trials,
Or life beneath the sea?

The faery who was kissed by the pixies - Mar Pilz 2009©Guatemala

May 29th, 2009

Shh listen!
The water running between the stones
Shh.. .listen!
How the wind blows

Come!
Sit next to me
Here, down this old tree
Let him tell us stories
About heroes and their glories
About elves and pixies
About a fairy and her thousend kisses

In another world, not too far away
So beautiful, in a very pretty place
There lived a fairy, one of a kind
Her sadness and emptyness
Could stop the time

The king of the pixies saw her cry
Sitting on his throne, started to make up his mind
How could he help her, to make her shine?
What could he do to see her smile?

Let’s ask the gnomes – he said
go to the leprechauns- they replied
shoes!…a pretty pair of shoes- they said
let’s go to the elves he thought,
not being pleased by what he heard
A dress!!- they minded. Better if it’s blue

not being happy by their words
he traveled to other worlds
asking the nymphs, the trolls
and even the triton’s

One night of insomnia
A voice spoke to him
– ask your pixies, they’ll know what to do.
They’ve got thousand kisses and millions of dreams to give –
When the fairy woke up
Pixies were flying around
Without losing time
She was kissed by everyone

Being kissed a thousand times
Brought her back her smile
She was happy again
And soon started to shine..

Come!
Sit next to me
Let us listen to the stories
Of this wise old tree

Willows - Deborah Shepard©2008 Yelm USA

May 28th, 2009

Lovely willows shades of her luminous gown speaks
Celeste fall colors dawns shades
Earths shall rest within, shadows fade
Holding each leafs auras are made

Across the the times , enigma appears
Colors beautifully arranged in falls sheen
Vibrant dances are azure
Each fairy’s voice heard , healing surround

Works masterpieces seen, she dances in the circles with she
When the cloak of timeless healings

Twilight willows shines, cellos dance in perpetual flowers each breathe
Each fairy’s dream soft, mirrors universe

To The Light Of Day - 2009©Terri Lynn Alabama USA

May 11th, 2009

To the light of day,And the dark of night
We sing our songs,Like whispers so light.
Carefree and joyous,Our days are meant to be
But by your disbelieve,We are trapped, not to be free.
We stay out of sight,And do not trouble thee
But tis your taunts,That won’t let us be.
When you speak your words,I do not believe
Our ancestry is dying,So will you give us relieve?
Open your hearts,And see like a child
Say I believe and we shall Fly wild.
But we shall remain unseen, And whisper so light
In the light of day,And in the dark of night.

 see like a child

Fly Wild see like a Child
