Awards for Priscilla Hernandez and Myrea Pettit in Mallorca i Fantastica
Fantastic I Mallorca National Festival of Fantasy and Science Fiction-de Baleares was closed yesterday with a gala to be held at the Theatre Xesc Forteza. The event, presented by Sandra Llabrés and Toni Traveria, began with the joint performance by Priscilla Hernandez, winner of the Independent Music Award for Best New Age Album, and Karinae Tribal Troupe.
Subsequently, the awards were handed Mallorca Fantastic in different categories. The prize for the best science fiction story was to Caecus, Alejandro Morellón; fantasy for Revenge of the anthology The tree of wonders, Alejandro Blasi, and the illustration for Daphne, Gabriela followed. There was also a special mention for best illustration which went to foreign artist for the Sugar plum fairy by Myrea Pettit.
As for the film awards, the prize for best screenplay went to Nico Costa for the short Concrete fear; for the best original idea for Happy birthday, David Munoz, the best director Santi Garcia by the end of the route; best short The animation monstrejo, Pep Lluís Lladó, and the best short film for theatrical Fear, Marcos Kühne.
The organization also wanted to provide some honorary awards actor Simon Andreu, the filmmakers Vicente Aranda and Toni Bestard, the composer Joan Valent, Alcover Foundation and the Municipal Band of Palma. The Tribute Award went to Dimonis, Diables in Bestiari Baleàric
