David Beckham and a Fairy
Posted: Friday, March 9th, 2007
David Beckham is soon to leave Real Madrid for a new soccer career in USA with LA Galaxy. Is the truth behind one of David Beckham’s most momentous and spectacular free kicks just emerging? It was during the England team training at La Manga in Spain in June 2002 that David met with famous fairy artist Myrea Pettit who may have blessed his good fortunes. There is no doubt that his last minute deciding fairytale penalty goal at the Old Trafford ground Manchester just a week later against Greece qualifying England into the World Cup was blessed. His inspired performance throughout that game, Beckham stood 25 yards from the Greece goal in the final minute knowing only a successful free-kick would see England through.
Was that his greatest moment in an England shirt or was it meeting fairy Myrea Pettit and her sister Michelle of Fairies World? Why would Myrea already have painted Galaxy of Stars in 2001? Fairies may well hold our fate in their hands.

Fantasy Art scoops three Oscars in Hollywood
Posted: Monday, February 26th, 2007
On the way in to the Hollywood Oscar Ceremony Red Carpet interview Oscar nominee Guillermo del Toro spoke about the political content of his film, Pan’s Labyrinth.
Surprise Surprise he walks away with a multiple collection of three Oscars!
Best cinematography
Best art direction
Best make-up
“Pan's Labyrinth” brings a terrible fairy tale of dark fantasy to life
The Spanish-language dark fairytale Pan's Labyrinth also won three Baftas awards including the award for best foreign language film In London at the Royal Opera House Sunday 11 February 2007.
It's about an imaginative little girl, Ofelia, played by IVANA BAQUERO, whose wicked stepfather is a brutal officer in Franco's army.
The child seeks refuge in a dark world of fantasy. This is Del Toro's most ambitious and accomplished film to date, although, despite its affinities to other childhood stories about lonely little girls who experience strange adventures, it's not exactly a film for children.
It's very dark and violent, with the fanatical and brutal stepfather, acted by Sergi Lopez, more terrifying than any of the fantasy creatures Ofelia encounters.
The story is compelling and deep, the film is both beautiful, exciting, often horrifying. The digital effects are superb one cannot help but be totally immersed in this powerful story.

A Fairy Tale return
Posted: Saturday, February 3rd, 2007
Not all Fairy tales are about fairies as we know them. The mysterious power of the Fairy is reflected in the energy they have. This is no better described by the BBC in the comeback of two of England’s rugby Union players who rallied their team and enthusiastic supporters throughout England in turning the fortunes of the English team who have lost the last nine matches. Long live the energy of Fairies!
Jonny Wilkinson and Jason Robinson made fairytale returns as England returned to winning ways in the opening RBS Six Nations match against Scotland.

Capturing the magic of seeing a fairy for the first time as she looks out of her window, one year old Madeleine is in awe as the she discovers the toadstool that appeared in her garden is now home to a new fairy friend who has come to stay awhile. What a surprise! Thank you Ed and Speck for sending these delightful images to Fairies World and for letting your little girl believe. Blessings x
