I just thought that you would appreciate knowing that the little girl who sits on top of the Fairy Soap bar is actually my Great Grandmother. She grew up in NYC and moved her family to West Haven, CT in the early 1920’s. Her older brother brought her to an artists house every Saturday for 2 months, to paint the portrait which you see today. With the money she received from the advert, she was able to feed her entire family for over 3 months. I’ve heard people compare her to Shirley Temple – because of her cute curls.
THANKS!
Myrea Pettit’s Dancing into Light image graces the cover of Devon St Claire’s latest book to be published May 2008. She is delighted to feature this book here on her website.”Who would believe that the main character of Devon St. Claire’s Memoir of THE HOUSE would inspire so many readers yearning for hope and for better lives? IT DOES. The big-hearted HOUSE tells ITS history for forty year and ITS great reward for never giving up. Hundreds write that they have gained the courage to leave the past in the dust and head for triumphant futures. The most recent reader to praise the power of the story pleads,”Does The Inner Room have other novels like this one?” The answer is, “Yes.”
Shadow Women, Emerging into Light grows out of a year’s correspondence via the internet between loyal readers of Memoir and the author. Their experiences, the captivating changes they are empowered to design are woven together. Truth can be rewarding reading. This is a true story of, by, and for men and women.”

The latest delightful painting in the series of environmental and conservational fairies from fairy artist Myrea Pettit. The ever open arms of ‘Charity’ hug one of the worlds most colorful characters, the blue poison dart frog which is a relic species living in a few isolated patches of relic rainforest habitat and getting its name from the toxic secretions used by the indigenous tribes used to coat their blowpipe darts hunting for food. According to the Global Amphibian Assessment, around 28% of 234 known species of poison dart frogs are now threatened with extinction.
Fairy Charity extends to all living creatures creating awareness for the protection of the flora and fauna so these endangered creatures and many others may continue to florish and share our world.
