Women were also Knights

Posted: Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Have you ever thought or asked whether there might be any stage of history that women could be knights? Probably the historic personality of female chivalry best known is that of Joan of Arc, also known as Jeanne d’Arc.

Buenaventura Braunstein

Buenaventura Braunstein

These thoughts and ideas troubled director and Multi-Arts-Artist Negrone Rivera de Buenaventura Braunstein who was inspired and motivated to develop her project “Women Were Also Knights”. Her project, started as a musical performance, and developed quickly into other directions with many exciting and artistically challenging ideas. Based on Buenaventura’s long experience in theatre, television and concerts (national & international) she was able to creates “The Knights Tarshari Women.” Phase One of her production was set in the Bavarian forest the fantastic pictures of “Wylls Goda”, “Cara Saragerel” or “princess Aguela Adelita”, to name just a few of the characters were taken by the well-known German television photographer Marco Orlando Pichler. These multicultural Knights are not only witty, sensitive, strong and intelligent, but also vulnerable and loyal – and they are fighters. The audience will recognize immediately that Buenaventuras characters are dedicated horsewomen with a passion, the very talented members of the “Duke Tassilo-knight” from Rehling in Bavaria.

Phase two is the Mystical ensemble of Buenaventuras creative spirit and is based on an important part of the “Women Were So Knights’ project, is known as the” Cutarlwyetel fairies and elves of the forests of Nobiobi-Whatcey.Elves Daron Dawn, Plixt & the Lylac Fairy The Cutarlwyetels show impressive acrobatics, they wear beautiful costumes and all of them live and play in a mystical place. The world-famous Parisian acrobats “Duo Iouvilov” traveled to Germany and turned magically into the Fee “Gewels,” the Elf “Daron Dawn” and other fairy tale figures. Buenaventura, financed, directed and launched “Women Were So Knights” she is currently in discussions with companies who sponsor cultural arts and is looking for more support to develop her theme worldwide, meanwhile she is busy completing the book of “Women Were also Knights” Buenaventura has but one goal to tell the world and that is, history tells us that “Women were also knights,” and they should not be overlooked! The Tarshari Knights of Ekarloél

Sharon Hurst Watercolor Artist

Sharon Hurst UK artist in watercolor and mixed media, well known for her lectures and workshops that have helped and encouraged creative talent , talks tips with Fairy artist Myrea Pettit at the Three Wishes Faery Festival to celebrate the 2009 Midsummer Solstice in magical Celtic Cornwall. “There is no better connection to ”Fairy’ than to be among them at the time and place where for centuries legends of Albion and the little people have inspired generations with their appearances, tricks pranks, and kindnesses too. This is the only way to know how to understand what a fairy is all about, who they are, to feel, see and create their images so that others can believe they really exist and can believe in them and the beauty of nature.”

Japanese Fairies visit UK

St-Michaels-Ley-line across England

st-michaels-ley-lineJuri Iida famous for her Oriental and mystical Fairies has just made a short visit to the United Kingdom to fulfil her artistic and creative desire and to begin to understand first hand the Celtic and Faerie folklore traditions that this country is steeped in.

Taking in Edinburgh, the Lake District for Beatrix Potter she then worked to and fro along St Michaels Ley line that stretches from Penzance across England to the East Coast.

It was in the beautiful village of Broadway in the Cotswolds, in the old hostlery now a famed hotel called the Lygon Arms that Juri met up with fairy artist Myrea Pettit and author David Riche. They were able to show her the historic rooms in the building where Oliver Cromwell stayed the night before the battle of Worcester 1651 and also the room that King Charles the first stayed. Its connection is with the English Civil War, for which the two main characters Oliver Cromwell and King Charles I it is most historically famous, such is the wonderment of centuries of English history for her to add to the stories of her travels.

Prince Charles is no Dodo

Posted: Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Myrea Pettit champions environmental and conservation issues, her Last Dodo’s Ball painting has the same warning to the assembled company as voiced by Prince Charles who is now using the power of the internet to “inform and challenge” people’s thinking to tackle the world’s environmental problems.

Like Myrea’s Dodo that has been on the web for some time, Prince Charles described the internet as possibly “the most effective tool in history” as he gave a keynote speech at a Google Zeitgeist conference.

The heir to the throne said that, ultimately, the battle against climate change could only be won by every person on the planet making environmentally-conscious choices.

The Prince of Wales is also planning to stage an open-air green extravaganza, it was revealed. Charles, who has warned that climate change is the greatest challenge facing man, is hoping to host the environmental event in 2010.

It is designed to rival Prince Albert’s Great Exhibition of 1851, London’s Evening Standard newspaper reported.

Hyde Park – where Charles’s great-great-great grandfather’s exhibition was held – is a possible venue

There is a proposal to hold an outdoor event which will focus on environmental issues and and sustainability.

“It’s being considered for 2010. It’s all in the very early stages.”

Lets hope we all understand Prince Charles message that none of us should wish to go the way of the of the Dodo!
