Hanamizuki

Posted: Saturday, March 28th, 2009

I was inspired by the song “Hanamizuki” to draw this picture, says Hiroshi Ando a long time Japanese artist friend of Youseitakei and Fairiesworld

Dogwood Flower

by Hiroshi Ando

This is one of the famous songs in Japan.

Lyrics to Dogwood Flower:

To the sky you reach out your hand
The songs of the clouds
Call you to distant lands
To the wind you call my name
Carried to the shore
The shore where I wait

A dogwood flower, I’d give to you
A blossom then, soon come to bloom

May the dreams you hold
The dreams that shine like rosen gold
Last forever
I wish for you to shine above
To radiate your endless love
May it last a hundred years from now

Summer heat weighing down on us
This boat is too weak and so in me, please trust
I will follow you
Please go ahead and I will be there soon

Posted: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

A three year Worldwide Advertising Campaign for Tourism Ireland started February 2009 for Dublin. Millions of visitors to the Magic of Northern and Southern Ireland will be enchanted by the amazing folklore and hospitality of this country will be touched with the magic of the Fairy’s footprints

I still have the mark on the end of my nose,
Footprints from the fairy`s toes,
I think they`re speckled,
But some say they`re freckled.
There was a fairy on my nose!

Fairies in the White House?

Posted: Sunday, February 8th, 2009

Jason Wu the dress designer whose inaugural dress Michelle Obama chose to wear gets ready to launch his 2009 collection.
With his real-life fairy tale behind him, Wu has turned to his fall inspiration. It’s fairy tales. “It’s actually so funny because I’m like, ‘Wait a minute.’ It sounds like I planned it all. I couldn’t have because if I had only started my collection now, I would have been in so much trouble.”
Fairies seem appropriate too for Malia and Sasha Obama the White House children, we shall look forward to seeing their fashion contribution to the Fairies World.

Blessings and a tribute to Tom Cross

Posted: Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

The sad part of Christmas was that artist Tom Cross passed away on the 27th after fighting lung cancer for 5 years, we had only corresponded a couple of weeks ago, when I suspected he was weakening, so I have his treasured reply.

‘From one winged one to another. Always believe!’

Blessings and a tribute to Tom Cross for those words to me

Renowned for her creative and artistic interpretations of Flowers Fairies and Butterflies, this unique glimpse dispels misunderstanding proving fairies exist to those that believe.
